High Performance Sports Scholarship

The universities High Performance Sport Scholarships aims to provide a range of benefits, services and financial awards to support those student athletes who compete at the highest possible level and who have achieved international or national representation in their chosen sport with the demands and commitments necessary.
​
Swansea University is proud to be leading the way with supporting talented athletes in education in Wales, having been the first Welsh University to be accredited by the new Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS). We have been awarded the TASS Dual Career Accreditation, which recognises the commitment shown to supporting student athletes to excel in both academia and sport while studying at Swansea.

The Dual Career Accreditation represents a unique partnership between support services and academic staff
from across the University, and shows our commitment to ensuring a dual career pathway is available to
student athletes. We believe that by providing academic flexibility as well as the correct environment and
support, student athletes can thrive and fulfil both their sporting and educational potential.

The Elite & Performance Sport Scholarship programme allows talented athletes to be supported to fulfil their
potential and reach their sporting goals, while studying at University.
Designed for students who not only satisfy the normal academic requirements for admission but who have also
demonstrated outstanding ability in sport.

* Please note that to apply for a High Performance Sport Scholarship and an invitation to receive TASS status at Swansea University you will need to complete and submit a Sport Scholarship Application Form, please get in contact with the University for more information on how to apply.

Talented Athlete Sport Scholarship

- The Talented Athlete scholarship scheme aim to cover the enormous spectrum of talent which young people reveal in individual and team sports.
